The Secret Garden Production Comes to Granbury TX

Beginning on Thursday, September 20, 2012, The Granbury Theatre Company presents: The Secret Garden. The story begins with Mary Lennox, a young English girl born and raised in India. Mary becomes an orphan when a cholera breakout occurs and takes her parents when she is only eleven years old. She leaves all she knows of India and is sent back to Yorkshire, England to live with relatives whom she has never met. Noticing Mary’s temper and bitter behavior, one of the chambermaids encourages her to play outside and tells her about a secret garden that has been hidden for years. Her own personality blossoms as she and a young gardener bring new life to the neglected garden, as well as to her sickly cousin and uncle.

The Granbury Theatre Company opened their doors on March 20, 2012. Their expressed mission is to release quality productions that are family-friendly: entertainment through engaging stories that encourage the heart and enrich the mind.

The doors will open at 6:30PM, and the show begins at 7:30PM. Matinees will be at 3PM.

The Secret Garden will be set on the Granbury Live Theatre’s stage, only 2 blocks from our North Texas Bed and Breakfast.
