Grady’s Line Camp Features Award-winning Billy Cate, Son of Texas

Grady’s Line Camp Steak House will be hosting some Texas style entertainment and serving some of the finest Cowboy cooking here in the next couple of weeks. Grady Spears is a well-known Texas chef, author of several cookbooks, and he has hosted his own cooking show called ‘The Cowboy’s Kitchen.” On September 21, 2012, Grady’s Line Camp welcomes a true Texas Cowboy, a singer, songwriter, actor & musician: Billy Cate.

Billy Cate, known as the “Son of Texas,” belongs to the Chisholm Trail Ride. The Chisholm Trail Team’s goal is to document and preserve Texas History along the Chisholm Trail. He and his wife live in a log cabin off of the trail. Here, Cate can carry on and uphold the tradition of western-style songs that he both writes and sings.

When Billy was 8, he picked up a guitar and a cheap songbook and began to learning to play. Not only did he excel in that, but he began to perfect his yodeling skills! Cate built his career by singing at clubs and parties and still does so today. He keeps the old west and cowboy music tradition alive, singing with warm depth and feeling. Billy Cate remains one of the finest entertainers and favorite among his fans, so you won’t want to miss him!  The show will start at 6PM and will require reservations.
