1. Staying in the Cottage or Lake House

We have gorgeous guest rooms to share or book individually, but we also have accommodations that are absolutely ideal for groups of people wanting to stay together. They offer plenty of room for everyone to spread out and truly enjoy themselves.

The Cottage

Our Cottage is a cozy private house located on the grounds, separate from the Inn, that can accommodate up to 4 people. Totalling 800 square feet, the interior is decorated in luxurious yet comfy Texas Hill Country style. Relax on the sofa in the living room directly in front of the stone fireplace for a night of movies or catching up. Cook a fun meal together in the galley kitchen with a full-size refrigerator and granite counter tops. The separate bedroom with king-size bed offers a spacious closet and a private bath with a large glassed-in shower. You’ll love the lake views from the dining and living area windows.

The Lake House

The Lake House is simply stunning, and will accommodate up to 6 guests. This private house features two bedrooms, a spacious living area with a large, stone fireplace, and a cozy kitchen with ample daylight and a fantastic view of Lake Granbury. Dine indoors and outdoors on the patio. You will love the wall of glass looking out over the mighty oak trees on the property.

Dining In

Simply put, food is a culinary experience at the Inn. From gourmet breakfasts to savory appetizers, you will be treated to delicious fare to start your day and tie you over before dinner.

Each night of your stay comes with the option for our delicious breakfast in the morning. This isn’t just any breakfast either, so many of our guests choose to include breakfast. In fact, we’ve received numerous awards from Dallas-Fort Worth food writers for our chef-prepared breakfast dishes ranging from sweet to savory. Our guest favorites include:

  • Upside Down Banana Walnut French Toast
  • Sausage Pancake Bake Drizzled with Maple Syrup.

Each breakfast comes with an egg dish, bacon or sausage, fresh fruit with yogurt, and unlimited coffee and juice.

In the afternoon, you’ll enjoy complimentary, chef-prepared appetizers along with your choice of wine, tea, or lemonade delivered to your room.

Of course, in our Cottage and Lake House with full kitchens, you can stock up on groceries and prepare your own lunches and dinners while enjoying the peaceful privacy by the lake.

Dining Out

If and when you’re ready to go out on the town, there are several restaurants nearby worth trying.

  • One of our favorites is Eighteen Ninety Grille and Lounge. Located in downtown Granbury, this upscale restaurant features a classic menu of steaks, shrimp and grits, and pork chops. 
  • Another local favorite is Farina’s Winery & Cafe, with a sister property in Grapevine, TX. This traditional Italian restaurant is beautifully decorated with antiques in a warm and inviting atmospher. This wine bar and restaurant features a menu full of family shared recipes passed down through the generations. The menu features favorites, such as: Bruschetta, Spinach Artichoke Dip, Farina’s Italian Salad, Baked Lasagna, Spaghetti and Meatballs, and Filet Mignon.
  • Christina’ American Table is a well known and loved bistro right here in Granbury. Be sure to try their chef specials, and terrific salads and soups. Specialties include Tomato & Basil Soup with a New England Style Lobster Roll, Bistro Dip, Prime Rib, and Pan Crusted Salmon.
  • Gary, owner and chef of Christina’s, opened Gary’s Kitchen food truck. He has also partnered with Local Goat Distillery. Enjoy drinks, craft cocktails, and delicious food!
  • 817 Restaurant offers a bistro style ambience with excellent food! Their delightful menu changes daily.

3. Enjoying Some R&R

Our property’s grounds span more than three acres, so you will find plenty of places outside to relax and recharge. During the warmer months, our saltwater pool is a fun place to congregate and enjoy the sunshine. Our cozy hot tub is open all year and is a relaxing place to soak and star gaze. You may also want to take some time to sway in the hammock with a good book, or sharing stories with one of your best friends.

If you love art, check out Your Private Collection. Red on the Square is perfect for accessories, and Hope Boutique has a great selection of on-trend women’s clothing. 5. Playing Outdoors

If you and your friends are feeling adventurous, then plan to spend the day on Lake Granbury – the ideal way to spend a summer weekend getaway in Texas. The lake is 33 miles long and 75 ft. deep, perfect for a variety of activities, like boating, jet skiing, kayaking, paddle boating, fishing, walking trails, cruises, and lounging on the beach.

Barking Rocks Winery, D’Vine Wine, and Farina’s Winery & Cafe are all conveniently located on the Square and are great wineries to consider.
