Aston Martin Car Club Comes to Lake Granbury

On February 1^st, the Inn on Lake Granbury welcomed the Aston Martin Car Club of the Red River Region.  This group is comprised of Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Louisiana. They joined us for an exciting and fanciful weekend that we won’t forget.  The Aston Martin combines three important elements: power, beauty, and soul.  And that is definitely what we got with this awesome group of luxury car owners!  Friday night, the group came together at the Inn and enjoyed a delicious dinner and fellowship and introduction of their wonderfully crafted cars.  On Saturday, after what they claimed as the “best breakfast we’ve ever had” at the Inn, the group geared up to go on one of their “road-rallies”.  Some of their previous road rallies consisted of a 250-mile Hill Country tour in celebration of a James Bond Movie Premiere, and Sunday drives to establish their presence in yearly car shows.

For this road rally, the group headed up to Dublin to Old Doc’s Soda Shop to reminisce about drinking the original Dr. Pepper.  For lunch, they headed out to the River House Grill in Glen Rose and continued on through Dinosaur Valley. That evening, the group headed to one of our favorite new restaurants on the Granbury Square, the 1890 Grille and Lounge.  On Sunday, after another “scrumptious” breakfast, the group went to Granbury’s local winery, Barking Rocks Winery.  They toured the facility, sampled the wine, and enjoyed some rest and relaxation.

Here at the Inn on Lake Granbury we pride ourselves in going above and beyond to meet a group’s needs and give them the opportunity to fully experience and enjoy the area, the scenery, and goals that they have set for their getaway.  We thoroughly enjoyed this weekend and want to thank the Aston Martin Car Club of the Red River Region for staying with us.  We cannot wait to see them again!
