On August 3^rd, 2012, Granbury’s own award-winning winery presents DeAnna Wendolyn as the musical talent for their First Friday monthly event.  DeAnna Wendolyn started singing as a child and has always been a “ham”, according to her family. As a young child, she remembers her father always playing guitar or piano, and singing.  After her father suffered a stroke when she was 17, DeAnna picked up his old classic guitar and taught herself to play.  DeAnna began singing regularly at the Jonnie High Show in Arlington, TX, at the Fort Worth Stockyards Opry, and at Billy Bob’s Texas.  Finally in 2009, she cut her first album in only two days!  Since then, DeAnna has written a sophomore album and toured to St. Croix in the US Virgin Islands three times.

The new album features guitarist Ron Geida (of popular Fort Worth band Villain Vanguard), who now attends most of  DeAnna’s shows. Ron and DeAnna enjoy playing covers from country to easy-listening to folk to rock, but especially her originals. They perform at many venues in the Fort Worth/Dallas Metroplex including wineries, coffee shops, bars and patios and we are excited to have them at Barking Rocks Winery!  Bring your friend or significant other, enjoy some unique wines and relax to the musical stylings of DeAnna Wendolyn.
